Downtown construction sites monitored during parade

The City of Kansas City, Mo., in conjunction with the Kansas City Downtown Council, will be monitoring the Power & Light and Sprint Center construction sites during Friday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. These sites are closed to the general public.

Beginning at 8 a.m., public safety ambassadors will be stationed around the sites’ perimeters to assist with pedestrian traffic control. In addition, a series of new public safety signs will be posted in the area to warn the public about the safety hazards posed by these restricted areas.

The site borders run east to west from Baltimore Street to Oak Street and north to south from Truman Road to 13th Street. A list of downtown street closures is available at the Capital Improvements Management Office’s Web site (www.kcmo.org/cimo).
