U.S. Sen. Christopher ‘Kit’ Bond to speak at North America Works

The City of Kansas City, Mo., International Affairs and Trade Office, a division of the City Manager’s Office, has announced that Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond will be a key presenter at the North American Works trade a logistics conference. Bond’s speech, “Importance of Trade, Transportation and Infrastructure” will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 7 at the Westin Crown Center Hotel, 1 E. Pershing Road.

Bond is a senior member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee and ranking member of the subcommittee that funds the nation’s housing and transportation needs.

More than 20 presenters, including distinguished keynote speakers and panel members from Canada, the United States and Mexico, will focus comments on North American trade and transportation issues along with economic security in times of market volatility. Among the highlights will be presentations on “Greening the Mid-Continent Corridor,” “An Agenda for the new U.S. Administration,” “Global Strategies—Asia and Beyond,” “Entrepreneurial Developments along the Mid-Continent Corridor” and “Building an Efficient and Secure North American Transportation System.”
